2 killed after Friday’s accident near Alanreed due to nearby fire

Gray County, Texas (KFDA) – Texas Public Security Department says two people are dead after an accident nearby Alanreed because of a fire nearby on Friday.

According to officials, on Friday, around 11:38 am, William McKaig, 67, from Phoenix, Arizona was leading a Kia Soul 2018 to I-40.

73 -year -old Rickene McKaig from Phoenix, Arizona was a passenger in Kia.

Officials say that a 2014 Kenworth truck tractor that resurrects a semi-office has been disabled on the left band of East I-40 from a previous accident.

Due to the extremely low visibility, because of the dirt and smoke from a nearby fire, Kia hit the back of the truck tractor semi-tractor.

A 2018 Freightliner truck tractor that tow a semi-trailer was traveling to the east and hit the Kia back.

DPS says that both William and Richene were pronounced dead on the spot as a result of the wounds they suffered in the accident.

This accident remains in progress.
