Korea Music Copyright Association (Komca) claims they can suspend the royalties or eliminate the work of artists who falsely deny AI

It seems that the Copyright Association for Music in Korea (Komca) has issued new orientations for artists associated with it. A new press release shared on April 1 by Mlex Notes that Komca will not approve the creations of artists made with “AI Technology”. The statement writes that the association will only record the work when the artist guarantees that they,

“He did not use you and were created only by creative human contributions.”

Pop Base shared the news on his X channel and that the artists have to “declare if you were used in creating a song.” In addition, if an artist makes a false statement, Komca can “suspend royalties” or even “elimination of the work”. The procedures are made to ensure that the artist’s creations are in accordance with the “author’s document” of South Korea.
