GovPlus supports for safer digital identity practices against the background of increasing threats

The new initiative aims to educate users on the prevention of identity theft while extending access to document protection tools

Claymont, by / Go to Newswire / April 3, 2025 / GovPlus, a private technology company that offers simplified support for American government applications, has launched a public awareness initiative, focused on preventing identityft and safe management. The announcement comes in response to increasing the confusion of computer information and consumers around the security of personal information shared during online government transactions.

According to the Federal Trade Commission, complaints with identity theft reached over 1.4 million in 2023, the fraud of the government document remaining one of the most exploited entry points. Many of these incidents involve stolen social security numbers, counterfeit passport requests or fraudulent tax records. Despite the growth of awareness, millions of Americans still have no tools or knowledge to protect themselves when engaging in routine bureaucratic processes.

GovPlus responds to this gap, with improved security tools available now on its platform, including real -time identity monitoring, automatic renewal alerts for government documents, encrypted application and identity restoration assistance. The purpose is to reduce the risk by simplifying how users interact with critical government processes, without compromising safety.

The company reports that over 500,000 applications have been successfully processed through its platform so far. These include services such as TSA Precheck® registration, passport renewal, EIN requests and social security card updates. Many of these tasks involve the transmission of sensitive personal data, often through unsecured public systems or outdated government portals.

In order to address this, Govplus strengthened its approach primarily by privacy, using 256-bit TLS encryption, payment infrastructure according to PCI and malware protection through trusted software, such as Norton 360. Additional layers include multi-factor authentication and continuous use of users and device activity.

The campaign includes a recent resource center that offers free educational materials on topics such as phishing scams, safe password strategies and safe application practices. This effort is designed not only to support Govplus users, but also to reach people who request government services independently.

In tandem with the launch, the platform recorded a continuous increase in users and a high satisfaction. With over 8,900 Govplus reviews on average 4.8 stars, many customers mentioned the comfort, safety and peace of mind as key benefits, especially among older users and those who have previously experienced an identity fraud.

As the most essential government tasks move online, Govplus draws attention to the need for accessible, safe and informed to the digital ecosystem. Company’s efforts underline the importance of proactive protection of identity in an era of cyber risk increase
