Kamala Harris, Michelle Obama to speak in Kalamazoo

Vice President Kamala Harris is scheduled to return to Michigan on Saturday, holding a rally kicking off statewide early voting in Kalamazoo with former First Lady Michelle Obama.

Although the Harris campaign has not announced a start time for the event, the Democratic presidential nominee is expected to speak in the evening. You can watch Harris and Obama’s remarks as they begin here. C-SPAN reports the event will begin at 5 p.m

Harris’ latest visit to Michigan comes less than two weeks before Election Day, Nov. 5. She is entrenched in a tight race for the state with Republican presidential nominee former President Donald Trump.

Trump was also in Michigan on Saturday – appeared at a rally in NovemberI’m tracking an earlier stop on Friday in Traverse City.

Michigan is considered crucial to decide the outcome of the presidential election. Opinion polls, both nationally and in Michigan, show a slim margin between the candidates. The RealClearPolling average of recent polls conducted in Michigan, showed Trump leading Harris by 0.2 percentage points as of Friday morning.
