Three people were injured in a Yates County house fire that was deemed uninhabitable

Dresden, NY — Several people were injured in a house fire in Yates County late Friday night.

Around 1:26 a.m., deputies and fire crews responded to a report of a porch on fire on Main Street near Charles Street.

Once there, deputies found several people who had been injured while escaping the fire.

One woman was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital with burns, while two others were airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital and Geneva General with injuries.

The house was considered uninhabited.

An ongoing investigation to determine what caused the fire is underway.
