November 16 – Sports Volunteer Program for Disabled Youth – Chicago, IL

KEEN Chicago provides free sports and recreation programs for youth with disabilities. We have a traditional sports program in the gym, as well as programming in areas such as bowling, soccer, dance and yoga. On this program date, we will offer sports. Volunteers are needed on-site to assist with check-in, handing out name tags, and providing assistance and support to our athletes who may need extra help to participate in activities. Volunteers will be paired 1:1 with athletes during our sessions.

KEEN serves individuals with disabilities as diverse as autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and various developmental and intellectual disabilities. KEEN’s mission is to foster the self-esteem, confidence, skills and talents of our athletes through non-competitive activities, enabling young people facing even the most significant challenges to achieve their individual goals.
