Rockford man accused of killing child arrested in Georgia

(WIFR) – Rockford Police say the 28-year-old man charged in the death of a 10-month-old baby is now in custody.

Rockford’s Zashawntray Pickett was charged with first degree murder October 29 after the death of a baby he allegedly knew.

Police asked for the public’s help in finding him, but announced on Nov. 2 that he had been arrested in Atlanta, Georgia.

Pickett has too six outstanding mandatesaccording to the police.
