Green Bowling man shot fatally after police said he entered the wrong apartment

Bowling Green, Ky. (WBKO) – A man was shot and killed around 1 o’clock in the morning, after he had kicked on the door and entered the wrong apartment.

The apartment complex is at 1317 Scotsville RD in Bowling Green. While Green Bowling police responded to the burglary call, the resident told shipping that someone was actively hit the door of their apartment.

According to BGPD, once the intruder entered the apartment, they were then shot and killed by the resident.

The individual, Matthew Maggart, 23 years old, also lived at the apartment complex.

During the investigation, the police found evidence that caused him to believe that Maggart was affected and went wrong in the wrong apartment.
