The Spanish authorities snatch the tape that treated the sex of 1000 women in Venezuela and Colombia

The Spanish police crushed a ring of trafficking in people who has lured more than 1000 women in the country in the last year, with false job offers before they force them in sex, the police said.

Women, who were mainly from Venezuela and Colombia, were told that they would work in the beauty or cleaning sectors, the National Police of Spain said on a statement on Sunday.

“Upon arrival in Spain they were transferred to clubs where they were sexually exploited and forced to work all hours,” the police said.

Women were allowed only two hours a day and were held under video surveillance.

Three alleged ring leaders – two Colombian women and a Spanish – were among 48 suspects arrested in raids in Alicante and Murcia, in the south -est of Spain, and three striptease clubs were closed as part of the operation.

Also, the police confiscated more than 150,000 euros (A247,000 USD) in cash, blocked bank accounts containing 938,000 euros (A1.5 million USD) and confiscated 17 properties.

Six of the suspects were detained in pre-process detention, the police said. The others were released on bail to cope with the process at a later date.
