Kenyans mourned police officer killed in Haiti Gang Clash: “Dedicated citizen”

A Kenya police officer unfolded in Haiti as part of the multinational Security The support mission (MSSM) died, marking the first victim reported from the beginning of the mission.

The officer suffered injuries during an operation in Ségur-Savian, the Artibonite Department, Sunday, February 23. He was transported in the air to Aspen Hospital Level 2 for treatment, but later gave up to injuries.

His death left his family and nation in mourning, arousing mixed reactions among the Kenians regarding the involvement of the country in the Mission of Peace in Haiti.
