Myanmar attracts $ 656 million in 10 months of 2024-25

Yangon: Myanmar attracted USD 656.15 million in foreign direct investments (ISD) in the first 10 months of fiscal year 2024-25, according to the figures published by the Investment Directorate and the Administration (DICA), Monday (February 24), reported , Xinhua reported.

From April 1, 2024, until January 31 this year, the Investment Commission in Myanmar has approved 52 companies invested abroad, according to DICA data.

During that period, the oil and gas sector most attracted USD 357.04 million, followed by the manufacturing sector with USD 148.64 million, and the transport and communication sector with $ 871 million.
