The UN chief expressed Monday the alarm to increased violence by Israeli colonists in the West Bank and request annexation after Israel announced extended military operations on the Palestinian territory.

On Sunday, Israel said his troops will remain for several months in the refugee camps in the busy Westordan. Tens of thousands of Palestinians living there were displaced by an intensified military operation.

“I am seriously worried about the growing violence in the Westordan occupied by Israeli colonists and other violations, as well as appeals to annexation,” said Antonio Getterres for the United Nations Human Rights in Geneva.

The military began a major incursion against the Palestinian weapons in the north of the West Bank a month ago, immediately after an armistice in the Gaza strip, a separate Palestinian territory.

The offensive in the West Bank gradually expanded, stretching several refugees near Jenin, Tulkarem and Tubas.

Also, on Sunday, the military in Israel announced the tank in Jenin, where he “expanded” the operations.

This marks the first time that the tanks worked in the Cisiordania at the end of the second Palestinian, or revolt in 2005.

Violence in the West Bank has decreased since the beginning of the Gaza war, which began after Hamas’s mortal attacked on October 7, 2023 inside Israel.

On Monday, Geterres emphasized the importance of ceasing the fragile in force in Gaza on January 19th.

“We are witnessing a precarious fire.

“It is the time for a permanent termination, the worthy release of all the remaining hostages, the irreversible progress to a solution with two states, an end of occupation and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, with Gaza as an integral part.”
