The police officer was accused of leaving red light causing the motorcyclist’s death

Roseville, a Michigan police officer is accused of a crime, after leaving a red light, which led to the death of a 27-year-old man, authorities said.

Evan Newman died at the accident site on Friday, August 16, in Roseville, according to a press release from the Prosecutor’s Office in Macomb.

The Detroit police officer, Corey Siquan Jones, 28, would have given a red light and then was hit by Newman, who legally riding a motorcycle through a green light, the statement said.
