Nayacalevu joins Ospreys as an injury coverage – FBC News

Former captain Flyians Flyians, Waisea Nayacalevu, joined Ospreys as a replacement for Owen Watkin, who suffered a serious knee injury during the six nations in Wales against France.

Watkin has excluded for the rest of the campaign, Nayacalevu is about to strengthen the team for the rest of the season.

The 34-year-old center recently signed for sale for season 2024-25, after a Toulon stint, where he moved after a ten-year career at Stade Français.

Reflecting on his move to the Welsh side, Nayacalevu expressed his enthusiasm for the new challenge:

“It is a real honor to sign with Ospreys. There is a worldwide talent here and I look forward to playing with them. “

Ospreys is currently in 13th place in the United Rugby championship and I hope to provide a play-off place, ending in the first eight.

They are also preparing for a European Challenge Cup Cup in the last 16, against Scarlets in early April.

Nayacalevu believes that his experience will be valuable to the team, while successful for success.
