The owner of the webster business accused of Medicaid fraud in the transport scheme

The owner of a webster -based transport company has been arrested and charged with medical assistance fraud about a Medicaid defraud scheme, announced American lawyer Joel L. Viollant.

Ashley Jackson, 36, the only owner of Roc City Transport, is accused of submitting fraudulent requests for medical transport services that have never been provided. According to a criminal complaint, Jackson and others would have applied for Medicaid refunds for travelers who did not appear, misunderstood individual travelers as group travelers and paid recoils to beneficiaries who led to meetings, rather than using rock services City.

Federal investigators claim that between February 2018 and November 2022, Roc City Transport has served mainly Medicaid beneficiaries traveling to Rochester metadone clinics, sometimes up to six days a week. During this period, the company is accused of fraudulently invoiced Medicaid for about $ 40,123.29.

The case is prosecuted by US assistant lawyer Richard A. Resnick and investigated by the Federal Investigation Bureau, under the leadership of special agent Matthew Miraglia. If convicted, Jackson is facing a maximum sentence of five years in prison and a fine of $ 250,000.

Authorities have stressed that a criminal accusation is only an accusation, and Jackson is supposed to be innocent if he does not prove guilty.
