Iraola asks for patience on Evanilson’s injury

Manager Bournemouth, Andoni Iraola, revealed that Evanilson needs more training time to recover from his recent foot injury.

The Brazilian was called an unused substitute in the 1-0 loss of cherries against wolves on Saturday, but Iraola was cautious about Evanilson’s chances of presenting Brighton.

“With Eve, the problem is not his injury, but that he did not train.

“It has recovered from injury, but when you have a bone injury, it is not like other wounds where you can train or sprint, you can do a lot of things.

“With the injury of the foot on the bone, you have to wait until it heals with a boot for two or three weeks,” Iraola said.

Evanilson has not appeared since he was wounded in Bournemouth’s 1-0 victory against Everton on January 4.

The cherries are in the sixth place in the Premier League and are just one point behind Man City in fourth place.
