A man was brutally attacked by a gang of young cyclists near the Carthay neighborhood of Los Angeles at the weekend.

What do we know:

The Los Angeles Police Department responded to a call near the intersection between San Vicente and Carrillo Drive Boulevard.

The police say that an argument broke out between the man and a group of suspects – who are believed to be up to 30 cyclists, probably in adolescence – Saturday, February 22. The argument was then ended with the man who was beaten by the 16 -Pa -18 years.

The Los Angeles fire department also responded to the attack scene to check the man who was beaten. The man ended suffering minor injuries, but chose not to be taken to the hospital, officials said.

Backstory:

A similar incident broke out on January 4, when a Mercedes-Benz sedan hit almost a group of cyclists in a similar range in a central neighborhood in Los Angeles. Part of the bicyclist group ended with reprisals by vandalizing Mercedes-Benz afterwards in the Mid-Wilshire area. There is no report to indicate that it was the same group that was involved in the attack of angry teenage mobs on February 2024.

What we don’t know:

The officials did not give specific descriptions of the suspects involved in the Carthay attack. Since Monday, February 24, no arrests were announced in the incident.
