Scottish businessman found dead in Kenya

A Scottish businessman who disappeared in Kenya was found dead.

Campbell Scott, Fife, was attending a conference at the JW Marriott hotel, when he was last seen by his colleagues on February 16th.

The 58 -year -old was the principal director of the Fico credit scoring company. His employer confirmed the BBC on Monday that the Local Police identified the body.

A company spokesman said the staff was “devastated” by the news.

She added: “Campbell was a leader in our activity of international scores.

“He joined Fico in 2014 and contributed to the introduction of scores on the new markets and to the growth of our business with existing partnership.

“Our thoughts are with Campbell’s family and friends. We ask the media to respect their privacy.”

Mr. Scott studied at the Woodmill High School in Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy Technical College, to work for a number of companies before joining Fico.

The JW Marriott hotel is located in the Westlands district of Nairobi, a rich business area.

The police launched a search for its disappearance and was assisted by Interpol, according to newspapers.

The Foreign Office in the UK has been approached for comments.
