“Imaginary fears and stupid arguments”: Annamalai hits Stalin over the problem of delimitation

President Tamil Nadu BJP, K Annamalai, accused the chief minister MK Stalin on Tuesday of changing narratives and spread “imaginary fears” during the future delimitation process. Looking on social networks, he wrote: “When CM MK Stalin knows that the whole TN rejected his argument, except for a few paint paint paintings that transported DMK frames on the third language for our children studying in GOVT schools. Tn similar to schools led by the family of Tn cm now wants to change the narrative in his imaginary fear of losing in the delimitation places. What a sin and fall for DMK! “

Stalin, after a meeting of the cabinet on Tuesday, warned that Tamil Nadu was facing the “threat” of losing eight Lok Sabha due to state success in population control. He announced a meeting of all parties on March 5 to discuss the issue, asking for the political unity to counteract the impact of the potential reduction of the seat. “Tamil Nadu has succeeded in controlling the population through the family planning program. Just because the population is smaller, there is a situation of the Lok Sabha chairs that are reduced (in TN). We are losing 8 places and, consequently, we would have only 31 parliamentarians, and not the 39 (the current number), ”he said.

Stalin has linked the concerns of delimitation of broader central policies, including the National Education Policy (NEA) and the allocations of central funds. He suggested that the reduction of the representation of Tamil Nadu in Parliament will suppress the voice of the state. “Because, in the name of delimitation, a sword is hanging over the southern states,” he said. DMK, long ago opposite to politics in three languages, accused the central government led by BJP of imposing Hindi, with Stalin saying: “We are prepared” for another “linguistic war.”

Annamalai rejected Stalin’s statements, insisting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already assured that “delimitation – if and when it will happen – will be favorable to all, including the southern states.” He accused Tamil Nadu cm of fear, stating: “Imaginary fears and stupid arguments became, late, the arsenal in CM!”

As the state is preparing for all parties, DMK supports what it calls a critical problem of Tamil Nadu’s rights, while BJP claims that fears around the delimitation are lacking in the basis.
