The white woman in court the IVF clinic after she was born the black child on the background of the embryo mixture

A woman in the United States has filed a trial against the coastal fertility clinic, after an IVF mixture led to the birth of the child of another couple.

Krystena Murray, who was undergoing IVF treatment in May 2023, was originally happy when she discovered that she was pregnant. However, her happiness turned into shock when she gave birth to a black child in December, despite being white and selected a white sperm donor.

Sushed an error, Murray performed a DNA test in January 2024, which confirmed that it has no genetic connection with the child. She informed the clinic about the mistake, but decided to take care of the child, forming a deep maternal connection. However, a few months later, the baby’s biological parents sought custody.

“To wear a child, fall in love with him, free him and build a special unique connection, just to take him -I will never fully recover from it,” Murray expressed during a conference press. Despite her emotional connection, her legal team advised that she has no reason to keep custody. She volunteered the child, who now lives with her biological parents in another state.

The coastal fertility clinic recognized the error, describing it as “an isolated event, without other patients affected”. The clinic said that additional safety measures have been implemented to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Murray is now pursuing actions in court, seeking responsibility for the emotional suffering caused by the negligence of the clinic. “My child is not my genetic – he does not have my blood, he does not have my eyes, but he is and will always be my son,” she said.
