The search for houses leads to two arrests in Troy

Troia police arrested two people in investigations about drugs and weapons.

The police searched for a house at 250 9Th The street and found a 46 -year -old Robert Moore with 40 envelopes containing powder that included fentanil. Moore was accused of two charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

The emergency response team performed another search to a residence at 319 4Th Street, where the police said that a 44 -year -old Dewanna M. Yakubu had two firearms loaded with extended magazines. Yakubu is facing two charges of criminal possession of a firearm and two charges of criminal possession of an extended magazine.

They were both notified in Troy City Court.

During the same operation, the police searched the basement apartment at 319 4Th St., about which the police said he had active surveillance equipment with cameras indicated everywhere to warn the occupants of anyone who came. In addition, the apartment was strengthened to try to prevent access by law enforcement.

A person has been withheld and the investigation is in progress.
