Colombian man caught with 10,000 euros worth cocaine hidden in a wig

A 40-year-old man was arrested for trying to take 220 g of cocaine in the Netherlands, hiding it in a wig.

Colombia National Police arrested the Peirara man on a Cartagena airport, about 980 km north of Bogotá, trying to climb into a flight to Amsterdam, they said in a statement.

The video released by the police show an officer who discovers the 19 capsules containing 400 doses of cocaine in the wig in the style of Tupee, after they appeared on an x-ray.

Cartagena Police Brigadier General Gelver Yecid Pena Araque told the press that the man was profiled by experts and subject to the procedure.

“There, through the scanner and a search for the body, the wig was found, which contained more than 220 grams of cocaine that he intended to take in this country (Amsterdam) and with this, the criminal profits were hit.” he said.

Araque brigadier general said cocaine was worth about 10,000 euros ($ 16,590) in Europe.

The man was accused of traffic offenses, manufacturing and transporting narcotic substances.

Colombian police said the man had two previous judicial records for drug trafficking.

The Araque brigadier general said 450 people until this year was arrested for drug trafficking and over 115 kilograms of drugs, including marijuana and cocaine.
