The operation led to the saving of 91 remortisants in Malawi, including 37 children, at a factory in Johannesburg CBD.

The state brought 160 charges against the group, but were found guilty to 158 charges and paid on two.

The NPA spokesman, Phindi Mjonondwane, said the conviction procedures will happen next week.

“Some of the offenses that the accused have been guilty of led a minimum prison sentence. We are in the hands of the court, which will now pronounce a fair and adequate punishment.”
