The man who killed the Hinds County deputy had 18 prior arrests for crime, 0 convictions

Hinds County, Miss. (WLBT) – Man who shot and killed A deputy of Hinds County at the weekend had seven arrests of crimes, 18 arrests of crimes and zero convictions at the time of his death.

This is in accordance with Hinds County Sheriff, Tyree Jones.

Eric Brown’s criminal historian has included decades, starting with 2004, with a possession of marijuana in Pearl.

In the same year, Brown was accused of reinforced robbery in Hazlehurst.

His last arrest was in 2023 with a simple assault charges in Richland.

However, he never received convictions.

Sheriff Jones also revealed on Tuesday that a fully automatic rifle was used on Sunday to kill Deputy Martin Shields, Jr.

flick37 years old, Mississippi responded on Sunday, when the incident took place.

Brown died inside the home after being shot, but it is not yet known whether the shot was self -inflated or if he was shot by a deputy.
