Case against policeman Eldorado Park accused of killing Chesnay Kepler

Johannesburg – the case against a police officer of the Eldorado Park accused of killing his guardian friend was postponed until March.

Mandla Buthelezi is accused of killing the 22 -year -old crime guard, Chesnay Keppler, after an internal boxing in 2024.

The police claim that, after the attack, the 42-year-old man shot himself in a failed suicide attempt and was hospitalized.

He made the first appearance in court in January.

He was expected to appear through the video link. However, an unexpected cutting of power left the court inaccessible, resulting in a postponement until March 27.

Although the case has not yet reached the bail or investigation stage, Kepler’s lawyer said you will not request a bail.

“At this time there is no search request from this moment. There are only a few outstanding problems on the investigation.”

Meanwhile, Keppler’s father, Trevor Kepler, said he was disappointed that Buthelei was established to appear practically.

“I’m just disappointed that they have to appear on a TV, while my daughter is no longer.”
