Investigating hate crime after graffiti appears in Weston-super-Mare

Investigating hate crime after graffiti appears in Weston-super-Mare

We call for witnesses after the anti-Semitic graffiti appeared on a bus shelter and a wall in the center of Weston-Soup-Mare.

We believe that these incidents, which happened near Locking Road Park and Birnbeck, took place once between Mondays 17 and Tuesday, February 18th.

The PCSO supervisor, Jakub Pietroczk, said: “These acts of criminal damages are completely unacceptable and we condemn all forms of hate. Graffiti has already been eliminated/painted by our colleagues from the Community Response team of the North Somerset Council.

“We are investigating all the reports on hatred offenses in order to bring criminals to justice.

“We would like to thank the members of the audience who felt disturbed by graffiti and raised their phones to report.

“If you have seen something suspicious in the city center at the data mentioned above and you can help with our investigation, please contact us.”
