Second arrest by man, 84 years old, critically injured

A second arrest was made after an 84 -year -old man was attacked and critically wounded by a suspect XL Bully, the police said.

The victim, who suffered “changing life” wounds, was watched in a garden of Bardsley Avenue, Warrington, on Monday night, in what Cheshire police called a “horrible” dog attack.

A 30 -year -old man was detained under the suspicion of being in the possession of a dangerous dog under control, causing serious injury.

Meanwhile, a 29 -year -old woman who was arrested as part of the investigation was released on conditional bail.
