January 27, 2025Samosfarma Limited responds to BBC Eye investigationsdenial of accusations.

They state that “Samospharma Limited and its branches have no record of any product that contains the combination of tapentadol and carisoprodol and we have never engaged in activities that involve illegal or leisure drugs. Any statement that otherwise suggests is completely unfounded and deeply disturbing for us as a company dedicated to improving access and results in Ghana. “

January 28, 2025 -Samospharma lodges an official complaint with the CID director of the Ghana Police Service, claiming that their company was involved in the illegal import of without license and unauthorized. They ask the police to “carry out a thorough investigation in this regard to identify and retain the perpetrators.”

Note: The Samospharma Limited complaint towards the police was made 26 days before the documentary is issued by the BBC.

January 29, 2025 – Tom Watson, the editor of BBC Eye Investigations, sends a second letter to Samosfarma, questioning their denial on the accusations.

He demands to provide “all order invoices from Aveo Pharmaceuticals and Westfin International, all approval for lots by FDA from Ghana related to Aveo Pharmaceuticals and Westfin International and a list of clients who have purchased Tafrodol or similar products imported by Samospharma. Limited by Aveo Pharmaceuticals and Westfin International. “

February 3, 2025 – Samosparma Limited writes the High of the Indian Commission, reiterating their complaint about impersonation.

They request that the Commission carry out “a thorough and prompt investigation in this regard” and that the findings, including the identities of those responsible for impersonation and illegal activities, are shared with them.

Note: The High Commission in India in Ghana has to make another statement about this issue or communicate any result of its investigation, if they have ever initiated.
