The major drug bust in Ontario County leads to arrest, a large seizure of drugs: The investigation remains active

An investigation of drugs for months in Ontario County culminated with the arrest of a Canandaigua man and with the confiscation of significant quantities of controlled substances, the authorities announced on Wednesday.

Jeffrey R. Johnson, 42, was arrested on February 24, when the officers stopped the vehicle when he left New York, at the 43rd out of Manchester. Johnson was accused of criminal possession of the first degree and the third degree of a controlled substance, classified as class offenses and, respectively, by class B.

Following his arrest, law enforcement forces executed several overnight search mandates, which led to the discovery of a massive illegal drug STASH. Among the confiscated narcotics were about 1.5 kilograms of cocaine, 9,108 LSD tabs, six kilograms of marijuana, 6.7 kilograms of suspected fungi to contain psilocybin, 1.6 kilograms of citamin, 27.9 ounces of MDMA and 92 ecstasy pills. The authorities also confiscated $ 6,879 in cash.

“This investigation remains active, and the additional arrests,” said the sheriff in Ontario County, David J. Cirencione, emphasizing the impact of drug confiscation. “There is no doubt that the confiscation of these drugs before entering our neighborhoods and communities will prevent countless overdoses and will probably save lives.”

Johnson was notified at the CAP Court in Ontario County on February 25 and is currently owned at the Ontario prison, without bail, as the file progresses.

The investigation was led by the Special Investigation Division of the Sheriff of Ontario County, with assistance from the sheriff’s offices in Wayne County and Seneca county, the Canandaigua and Geneva Police Departments, the Office of the District Lawyer and the US Drug Administration.

The authorities ask anyone with information about the illegal drug activity to sound (585) 396-3784 or to file a tip through the mobile application “Ontariosheriffny”.
