Amcor, Berry shareholders approve the merger; Expected closure by the middle of 2025

Washington (DPA -AFX) – Amcor PLC (AMCR) and Berry Global Group, Inc. (Bery) announced on Wednesday that the shareholders of both companies approved the proposed merger.

This vote fulfills a key condition of the combination announced for the first time in November 2024. Over 71 percent of the outstanding actions of AMCOR were represented, with over 99 percent voting in favor. In Berry, over 83 percent of the outstanding actions were represented, over 98 percent supporting the merger.

The combined company will provide packaging solutions for consumers and medical assistance, with advanced science and innovation capabilities.

The merger is expected to provide $ 650 million in synergies and accelerate growth on key markets, creating a long -term value for shareholders.

The transaction is well advanced and it is expected to close until mid -2025.

Currently, AMCR trades USD 10.20 by 0.12 percent or $ 0.01 on the New York Stock Exchange.

Currently, Bery trades $ 72.79 with 0.31 percent or $ 0.23 on the New York Stock Exchange.
