President Trump’s comments from the beginning of the cabinet meeting have been concentrated, in part, on a new “gold card” that will allow the wealthy foreigners to request residence in the US.

On Tuesday in the Oval Office, Trump described the program as a “route to citizenship”.

“They will be wealthy and will be successful and will spend a lot of money and pay a lot of taxes.”

Today, both Trump and Howard Lutnick Secretary have entered more details, Lutnick believing that about 200,000 people could apply – the same number of people currently in line for the current EB -5 Investor Visa program.

Lutnick says those golden books could pick up to $ 1 (786 billion pounds) to “pay our debt.”

“That’s why the president does it,” says Lutnick.

In his observations, Trump says there would be no promise or commitment to create a certain number of jobs, because the applicants will be “successful people”.

“I don’t know we will sell so many. Maybe we won’t sell so many, but I think we’ll sell a lot,” he adds. “There is no other country to do so as people don’t want to go to other countries.”
