The theme initiative: “Fire safety, a key for national development and a basis for our safety and security” aims to increase awareness regarding fire prevention and safety measures among different sectors, including churches, markets and business centers among others.

Soring the programs for the celebration of the week, Doiii Yenzu mentioned that fire safety commitments were held in churches throughout the district on Sunday, adding that a float was also held in the city of Ashiman, also

He said that, as part of the campaign, they hired with churches to educate the congregants on fire prevention strategies, because many churches use electrical, candles and generators, which, if not properly managed. could cause fire.

He said that the service will have media commitments and will take the inspection of selected spaces, including malls, garages, hotels, pubs, warehouses, among others, as well as payments in mosques and truck parks for sensitization.

Pro said the team also visited the markets and educated traders on manipulating flammable goods, such as cooking gases and electrical equipment, because Ghana market fires have led to the destruction of goods that affect the traders’ living means.

He emphasized the importance of preventing fires, mentioning that education remained the most effective tool in reducing fire outbreaks, saying that many fires in the country were due to human errors, including negligence, electrical failures and improper handling of flammable materials.
