Still no missing booter sign, massive search is resumed on Monday

The massive search will resume Monday for Steven Morgan, disappeared on Friday, when he was supposed to have made a mobile phone call to his wife that he was on an island in a Slough of the Neches river, after his boat overturned, according to Jasper County Sheriff, Chuck Havard.

The office of the sheriff in Jasper County, along with many other agencies and countless volunteers, continued the search for Morgan on Sunday, 60 years old. Morgan disappeared on Friday around 4:00 pm, in the waters on the Neches river, outside the 10 sour lake road, near CR 701, in South Jasper county.

Search and rescue workers searched the large Slough and the properties around the area since Friday night. On Sunday evening, Morgan had not been located. The search will resume Monday morning. The search included law enforcement, gambling guards and first respondents, including a helicopter crew from the Sheriff’s office in Jefferson County flying a few hours on Friday and Saturday until the weather became bad.

“I would like to thank all the law enforcement agencies, voluntary firefighters and countless citizens who showed us and helped us in this search,” said Havard Sheriff. “In addition, we are very grateful to all business owners and community members who have sent food, deliveries and many other articles to help us. We will not give up until Mr. Morgan was found. Our prayers are addressed to the Morgan family and our community during this difficult period. “
