Men accused of burglary were released from all accusations

Two men released on Wednesday, after a jury at the Grand Court cleaned him of a series of burglary charges.

The strong seven jury returned after three hours and 20 minutes and delivered unanimous, not guilty verdicts, James Mclean and Devon Wright.

The justice of Emma Peters, after verifying that nothing else has to deal with, said: “In this case, gentlemen, you are free to leave.”

The incoherers in a variety of statements made by the main witness of the prosecutor Romario Brown at the Police, including different periods and confusion regarding the clothing carried by the defendants in the key points, were highlighted by the Defense Lawyer in the trial.

An actual declaration agreed by defense and criminal prosecution was read to the jury by the crown counselor Shauna-Kaye James, Monday.

The document said that the owner of a house targeted on Anne Bonny Crescent, who surprised that the robber contacted the prosecutors and said he could identify one of the intruders.

A total of 12 photos were shown to the homeowner on February 14, including one of Mclean.

Brown has submitted testimony McLean had been in the house with him during theft when the owner returned home and caught Raiders Red.

James told the jury that the owner of the house did not choose Mclean in the photo team, but chose an image of another man.

Peters, in his first process of jury in Cayman, told the jury that he had to weigh the evidence and decide if the case against the two was proven.

She told the jury that Brown was “the main witness, practically the only witness, in this case.”

Peters warned him: “If you can’t be sure that Romario Brown tells the truth about any or all these statements, then you have to find them guilty.”

Brown, who pleaded guilty of crimes in relation to robberies and execute a seven -year sentence, involved McLean and Wright in crime and insisted that he was forced to take part.

Wright faced two charges of burglary and one of aggravated burglary, and McLean was accused of a crime of burglary and an aggravated burglary.

Brown claimed that he and Wright first committed Glen Eden Road from George Town on January 31, 2022 and two more than a day later, one on Shamrock Road in Savannah and the other Anne Bonny Crescent on South Sound Road with McLean.
