The Laporte man arrested after the altercation with the construction worker found to be without license and intoxicated

A 51 -year -old man from Laporte was arrested on Tuesday morning, after a verbal altercation with a construction worker, which led to the discovery that he drove without permit, in a state of intoxication and wished on a Lake County, Indiana term.

Philip Q. Hoopingarner has been arrested and is currently held without bonds in Laporte County.

The deputies of the sheriff in Laporte County responded to the Wozniak Road and Surrey Lane area around 10:30, on Tuesday, February 25, after receiving a report between a driver and a 27 -year -old flag employed by a service company working in the area. The vehicle had left the scene before the deputies arrival.

A flock room has captured a picture of the suspected vehicle within the city limits at the ports. Police La Porte subsequently located the vehicle in the center of Laporte and initiated a stop of traffic in the McDonald’s parking lot on Pine Lake Avenue.

According to the Sheriff’s office in Laporte County, Hoopingarner, the driver, was arrested after he asked to leave the vehicle. Then, it was established that Hoopingarner never issued the driving license and was wanted by the Lake County authorities for non -compliance. Deputies also observed indicators that Hoopingarner was affected by alcohol.

Hoopingarner faces the following accusations: working while he is in a state of intoxication (C-model), he has never received a license (C-Vedemeanor) and non-compliance with the mandate-detention for Lake County. He remains in arrest at the prison in Laporte county while waiting for the additional judicial procedures.
