North Korea responsible for Hack Bybit $ 1.5 billion – FBI

The Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI, Wednesday, said that North Korea was responsible for theft of about $ 1.5 billion in virtual assets since cryptocurrency.

The FBI, in a public service announcement, said that it refers to this cyber activity in North Korea, as a “traitor”.

“The trader -trader actors are fast and have transformed some of the assets stolen into Bitcoin and other virtual assets dispersed on thousands of addresses on several blockchain,” he said.

According to the agency, it is expected that the assets will continue to be washed and eventually transformed into Fiat currency.

Meanwhile, Bybit said that an attacker has obtained control over an ether wallet and transferred the farms to an unidentified address.

It has been gathered that the exchange addresses over 60 million users worldwide and offers access to various cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin and Ether.
