40 Chinese relevant repatriated from Thailand in the common repression on illegal immigration

Beijing: (Bernama-Xinhua) forty Chinese relevors involved in illegal immigration were repatriated from Thailand on Thursday (February 27), in a coordinated effort to combat cross-border crime and protect the legitimate rights of Chinese citizens, according to the Ministry of Public Security (parliamentarians).

The operation, carried out in accordance with the Chinese and Thai laws, international regulations and established practices, is an example of continuous collaboration between the two nations to address transnational criminal activities, the ministry said, Xinhua reported.

An official of the high parliamentarians explained that the repatriated people were deceived by criminal organizations to illegally cross the borders, eventually becoming blocked in Thailand.

“Their families have repeatedly sought government assistance for their return,” the official said, stressing that repatriation reflects China’s commitment to protect the legitimate rights of its citizens.

The official further stressed that the legal rights of the repatriated persons have been protected entirely throughout the process and that they will receive assistance in reintegration into their families and society, once the necessary legal procedures will be completed.

“Recent joint operations between China and Thailand have given fruitful results in combating transnational crimes, including telecommunications and fraud on the Internet,” the official said.

Both countries have committed themselves to expand their cooperation in applying the law, in order to better protect the legitimate rights of citizens and to ensure regional security and stability, according to the official.

Also, on Thursday, the National Immigration Administration said in a statement that the Chinese government is firmly opposed to illegal immigration in any form.

The public security authorities in China and the immigration administration will continue to collapse from cross -border crime and keep those who arrange or organize illegal immigration activities, the administration said.

He also promised to strengthen the cooperation in applying the law with the counterpart authorities in other countries, to ensure the safe and tidy cross -border crossing of Chinese and foreign residents and to protect their legitimate rights and interests. – Bernama-Xinhua
