Georgia The Prime Minister claims that the national equipment for democracy has financed “harmful activities” in the country

Georgian prime minister, Iraqli Kobakhidze, said on Thursday that the national equipment for democracy, based in the United States, has funded “harmful activities” in the country and stressed the reduction of foreign financing used in the alleged manner would be “beneficial to the country”.

In his observations, Kobakhidze emphasized foreign financing “should not be used to support revolutionary or propaganda actions in specific directions”, for which it assumed that NED funding was used.

NED has funded very serious activities in our country, including anti-state actions. The less funding in this regard, the better for our country and our state, ”said the prime minister.

“It is unacceptable for foreign sources to finance revolutionary or propaganda actions. This is exactly what NED funding served and is crucial for such financing to be restricted, ”he concluded.

The organization said on Wednesday, at present, it is not able to access its proper funds in Congress, which support almost all its subsidies and operations.
