The accidental fire next to Washburn sends one to the hospital

Topeka, Kan. (Wibw) – The crews replied on Thursday, February 27th.

The Topeka Fire Department (TFD) responded to the house fire compared to 1835 SW Lincoln, around 6:00 pm on Thursday night.

The crews discovered smoke and flames on both floors of a two -storey house. TFD said in a press release that two people were in the house when the fire started. Both individuals have self-evacuated.

A person was taken to the hospital with minor wounds.

TFD investigators say the fire was accidental and was associated with a space heater. Damage estimates have not yet been available.

The TFD response included four engines, two truck companies, one air, battalion heads and two fire investors.

The service of AMR, Evergy and Kansas Gas assisted.

It has been reported that there is no smoke detectors working in the house
