Woman arrested twice as many as a week in different counties

Pueblo County, there. (Krdo) – a woman who was arrested for stolen from a dealer in Colorado Springs on the weekend is again in prison. This time he is in Pueblo County. Aleeyah Niknami was arrested after the sheriff’s office in Pueblo County (PCSO) says he went with the attempt to steal a tractor. She, and a man named Brandt Boden, were both found on Walker Ranch.

The deputies say the pair tried to go to the tractor, but they encountered one of the gates on Ranch Walker.

Remington Walker is the third generation, which helped PCSO locate Niknami and Boden. He says he knew something stopped when he saw the tractor moving. So he led and caused him to pull and leave the tractor. Walker contacted law enforcement as the pair began to walk. He says he was nervous, but he had to recover the tractor, because his loss would be to the detriment of the ranch.

“To be stolen or destroyed, it is very impactful, you know, I mean, we don’t have a lot of money just to go to another,” Walker explained.

He says that those types of tractors cost around $ 250,000 and generations of breeders before him worked to afford one. But at the end of the day, he says he is grateful for the close relationship of the farm with the sheriff’s office and for their quick response.

“You have to be sorry for the application of the law. You know, they leave and catch these bad people. And then they prove, they bind. And then they come and commit more crimes,” Walker said.

At the moment, Niknami is facing multiple thefts and accusations of drugs, the latest are in accordance with the attempt to theft and an outstanding mandate, which has landed in the prison in Pueblo. The arrest comes just a few days after leaving the prison in El Paso county. Her story reminds of a topic that Krdo13 has covered in the past: repeated criminals.

Jill Gates is one of the people who led the accusation to help the incarcerated people stay in prison.
She says it’s a challenge, but she likes it. She drives Behavioral services based on prison (Jbbs) program.

“We make them settle as they are in the unit, and then we work on their transition back in the community with us,” Gates explained.

She says they make group sessions for mental health challenges and substance abuse. They even work with participants one year after release to make sure they are settled in the community.

“This is something we don’t do. We don’t give up. If there’s anywhere, if we can do something for them, we will do it,” the gates shared.
