The Minister of Finance, Dr. Ashni Singh, stressed the importance of preventing peace and conflicts as an commitment and effort throughout life and not just an occasional pursuit.
He emphasized this point during a disclosure ceremony for a peace pillar in the new leisure park in Amsterdam last Saturday.

Minister Singh has reported that the peace pole is extremely symbolic, because it serves as a memory that peace should prevail throughout the world.
He said: “This objective of peace and understanding, prevention of conflicts and avoiding conflicts, is not an objective that we need to remember only when we see the Pole of Peace or during the World Moon to prevent peace and conflicts, this is an objective with which we must associate with ourselves and engage as an commitment to life and with a life.”

The vice -president of the Rotaract Club in New Amsterdam, Molandra Simon, who led the project, shared a message to stand under a single timeless message “can prevail on earth.”
She said, “As we gather around this pillar of peace, we do not only plant a symbol in the ground, we plant hope, commitment and a common vision for a better world.”
Simon said that the pole represents something much more than words, mentioning: “It is a lighthouse of peace, an commitment to humanity and an invitation for us all to bring ourselves in search of harmony, justice and love.”

She continued to advise young people: “You are the beats of the heart of our future. The energy, creativity and faith of unwavering in a better tomorrow are the foundations on which this peace is. You are Torch -feares of Change, viewers who can transform the world with the power of compassion and understanding. Never underestimate the impact you can have. “
Then, Simon reminded them of government officials, they gathered that their duty is to be the protector of peace, “the builder of a fair and fair society for all citizens.”

She said: “Peace does not come simply from the absence of conflict, but from the presence of correctness, opportunity and respect for all people. You have the power to create systems to raise each individual, regardless of their background, beliefs or status. Allow this peace pole to inspire you to continue to work for policies to promote equality, education, medical assistance and opportunity, because when the peace is incorporated into the foundation of a nation, every citizen can bloom. “

In particular, the Rotaract Club in New Amsterdam’s Peace Polle is the first for Guyana on the peace map.
Yuvindra Sookraj, director of the Rotaract Club in New Amsterdam, will run a blood unit that will take place in front of R. Sookraj & Sons, located at 10 Main Church Street, New Amsterdam, SIX region, on Saturday, March 8th.
