Maulana Haq Hamid among several killed in blast at the Haqqania uloom gift

At least five people were killed and over 20 injured in an explosion that took place during Friday’s prayers at Uloom Haqqania, a known seminar from Akora Khattak, Nowshera. Maulana Haq Haq, the chief of Ulema-Islam-Sami (Jui-S), is among the victims.

Police have claimed that several people have suffered serious explosion injuries. The rescue teams 1122 arrived on the spot, and efforts for the transfer of the wounded to the nearby hospitals are underway, they added.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s chief secretary, Shahab Ali Shah, confirmed the death of the chief Jui -S, Maulana Hamid Haq, the son of the founder Madrassa – Maulana Samiul Haq, in the explosion. An emergency situation has been declared in all hospitals in Peshawar.

Inspector General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police said Samaa TV that the explosion seems to be a suicide attack. Initial reports suggest that four -five individuals were injured, while one or two deaths were also reported. He believed that Maulana Haq Haq could have been the target, which is reported to be in critical condition.

The area was corded, and the investigations are in progress. The security staff has been implemented in a significant number, around 25, due to the threats existing in different areas. Officials work to resolve security challenges in collaboration with relevant agencies.

The rescue teams claim that they initially evacuated 20 people on the Blast site. The wounded were transported to the hospital through the ambulances for medical treatment, while 11 ambulances participated in the aid operations, they added. In addition, officials said that seriously injured victims will be moved to Peshawar for advanced medical care.

The seminar, often called the “University of Jihad”, was founded by Maulana Samiul Haq.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the explosion and condemned the death of the Jui-S chief, Maulana Haq and other victims. He guided the authorities to provide all possible medical assistance to the injured.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s chief minister, Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, strongly condemned the tragic incident and sought a comprehensive report from the authorities interested in all aspects of the attack. CM has guided officials to provide the best medical care possible to the injured.

Gandapur called the attack an inhuman act to kill innocent people in a place of worship. He says that no conviction is sufficient for such brutality and ordered the use of all available resources to bring the authors.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz prayed for the rapid recovery of injured worshipers. She labeled the attack during Friday’s prayers an act of open terrorism, stating that Pakistan will win the war against terrorism, emphasizing that the whole nation is united.

Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, urgently contacted the upper authorities on the Jamia Haqqania explosion. He also sought a detailed report on the incident of the relevant authorities.

He called the explosion in Jamia Haqqania a conspiracy of the hostile forces of Islam and Pakistan. “The province will suffer for an unknown period due to the incompetence and communalism of the provincial government,” Kundi noted.

Jui’s spokesman condemned the explosion, calling him deeply regrettable. “Even the mosques and Madrassas are no longer safe,” says Aslam Ghauri, blaming the government for not maintaining peace and order.

He accused the authorities of prioritized the cricket for national security. He prayed for the deceased and wanted a quick recovery to the wounded.
