The arrival of firefighters at the scene of a fire often brings hope, because it signals the possibility of saving lives and properties from a fire.

Their presence is usually encountered with relief, because communities are based on their expertise to contain fires and to prevent additional damage.

However, the situation was different when a staff of the Ghana National Fire Fire Service reached a fire scene to extinguish hell in the unidentified location.

As it was captured on the video, some frustrated residents, who were visibly upset by what they established as a delayed response from the firefighters, decided to put stones on the fire auction.

The chaotic moment was surprised in a video shared on Facebook on Friday, February 28, 2025, by the Public Relations officer GNFS, Alex King Nartey.

In telling the incident, he wrote: “This stupidity will not predominate this year. If you attacked us, we will go so that you use this opportunity to kill the fire. After all, I didn’t put the fire. Use the energy to kill the fire. ”

According to GNFs, fire outbreaks continue to represent a significant threat to communities, enterprises and internal settings in the country, which require a stricter fire safety by citizenship.

Speaking at the recent launch of the National Fire Security Campaign, at Accra, the chief fire officer, Julius A. Kuunuor, indicated that, in 2024, the largest accu with the largest number of fires with 1,309 cases, while the Ashanti region registered 1.145, and the East Region followed with 648 cases.

“Only in 2024, we registered 6,436 fire incidents, an increase of 7.75 percent compared to 5,973 cases registered in 2023, these fires were largely due to the hard reinforcement conditions and the non-observance of the fire safety protocols,” he said.
