Noida, February 28 (PTI) Two criminals who want in several cases of robbery were arrested following a meeting with the Noida Police here, officials said on Friday.

The accused was identified as Vijay (25 years old) from Faridabad to Haryana and Naushad (22) in the village of Morna here, they said.

During a routine verification at the roundabout of Amity School in Sector 44 in Noida, on Thursday night, the police reported two motorcycle men to stop. However, the two opened the fire and tried to run, an additional deputy police commissioner, Sumit Kumar Shukla said.

The police responded and Vijay suffered an injury to the bullet in the foot. Naushad managed to run away, but was caught later, he said.

The two were searched in dozens of robbery cases in the national capital region (NCR), he added.

Eight stolen mobile phones, a country made of country, cartridges and a motorcycle were recovered from the accused, said Shukla. PTI MSN Amj Div
