The Interior Minister also ordered the Delhi police to eliminate the Delhi interstate gangs with a ruthless approach, to lead a special leadership against crimes every three months, to identify stretches that report daily traffic jams and to find a quick solution for the same thing; told the Delhi government to prepare a “monsoon action plan” to cope with water logging; Named special prosecutors for the rapid elimination of revolt cases in Delhi 2020 and take strict measures against the network that facilitates the entry and stay of illegal immigrants Rohingya and Bangladeshi.

The high level meeting at North Block attended the new chief minister Rekha Gupta, her colleague of cabinet responsible for the portfolio of Ashish SOOD, the Delhi Police Commissioner, Sanjay ARORA, and the police officers and senior administratives.

During the three -hour meeting, several issues related to public safety and coordination between the Delhi and Police were discussed.

“Shah indicated that the Delhi police permission will not be necessary in issues related to the construction in Delhi,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs said in a statement. Police officers requesting bribes to allow illegal construction activities has been a major concern for the brass of the department over the years.

In 2014, then BS Bassi Police Commissioner noted that the police did not have an inherent authority to stop any unauthorized construction on their own and issued a circular that asked the police officers to restrict their roles to be “eyes and ears” and only to inform the municipal authorities about any illegality.

By emphasizing the problems that commuters face due to persistent traffic jams, Shah asked the police officer and the Delhi police officers to “identify the places where there is a daily traffic block”. “He asked for Arora, and the chief secretary should meet and find a quick solution in this regard, so that the public can receive help,” the Ministry of Home said in a statement.

Regarding the traffic issues that Delhiites faces during the monsoons, Shah told the Delhi government to prepare a “monsoon action plan” to cope with the water group by identifying the places where the water lock takes place.

Shah also told officials that they should not only identify and deport the intruders from Bangladeshi and Rohingya, but also to act against the network that facilitates their entry and helps them obtain their documents and facilitate their stay.

On the threat of gangsters operating in Delhi and the nearby regions, the Interior Minister said: “It should be the priority of the Delhi police to eliminate the gangs from the national capital with a ruthless approach.”

Similarly, in order to disassemble the drug smuggling networks in the city, Shah asked the police to “work with the top-down approach and at the end at the top cases and to dismantle the entire network.”

Shah has continued to ask Rekha Gupta’s administration to quickly follow the removal of revolts in Delhi 2020.

Regarding the solving of other problems related to laws and citizens, Shah said that “DCP level officers should go to police sections and organize public hearing camps and solve public problems.”

Shah said that 25 safety committees for women and pilot -based children in JJ groups should be formed, and the initiative can be taken after seeing their results and effectiveness.

He also asked the police to start the recruitment process for additional posts soon.

Shah also indicated that strict measures should be taken against police stations and subdivisions in which officers “make constant performance”.

A senior officer from MHA, who asked not to be appointed, said that the Interior Minister can regularly organize meetings to examine the implementation of his directions, because he wants results.
