Man extradited from Washington, accused of sexually assaulting a woman up

Chippewa County, a man accused in 2016 with four charges of criminal sexual conduct was extradited to Michigan. On Thursday, prosecutor General Dana Nessel announced that Aaron Jarret, 36, was notified at the Court of District 91 about an alleged 2016 attack.

Jarrett, the most recent in Clark County, Wash., Is accused of sexually assaulted a woman from Chippewa County in May 2016. Jarrett was accused in the same year, but seems to have fled before being notified. Bond was set at $ 500,000 and will be in court again on March 13th.

The US Marshals service extracted Jarrett back to Michigan, as part of the survivor’s survivor operation.

“In the six months since I announced the Survivor Justice operation, my office worked with the county prosecutors and the US Marshals Service for the extradition of over a dozen people accused of horrible sexual aggression,” said Nessel. “I remain employed to continue this important work to keep our communities safe and to ensure that those who commit such crimes are held accountable.”

The survivor Justice operation is a partnership between the General Department of the General Department of Michigan, the county prosecutors and the Marshal, which is funded by a $ 1 million state credit. According to the Nessel office, the operation works for the location, detention and return of the fugitive offenders with outstanding sexual aggression in Michigan.
