A French start-up, Constellation Technologies & Operations (CTO), aims to create in a new era of spatial telecommunications with its very low satellite constellation (Vleo).

This means that telecommunications companies could use a satellite network to deliver the Internet just like their ground -based networks, offering fast and receptive connections from space.

As a step in this direction, the CTO introduced the early test, its first “useful regenerative operation” of the 5 -millimeter wave spectrum (5g MMWAVE). CTO shows its first work equipment to be used to send internet signals from space.

Launch this year

The useful load “early test”, designed for the space internet, has been rigorously tested on earth in space similar to space.

He is now attached to a satellite platform for his orbit journey, scheduled for June 2025.

This launch will be primarily major, because it will be the first time that 5G MMWAVE SPECTRUM TECH is used to transmit high -speed, low latency Internet from a satellite to anywhere on Earth.

5G MMWAVE is a high -frequency radio wave technology used in the fifth generation of Wireless communication technology.

It works between 24 and 100 GHz to allow very fast wireless communication.

Modern 5G uses the 3.5 GHz band for improved capacity and speed. To reach even faster speeds and lower latency, future 5G systems will use the much higher frequencies of MMWAVE technology.

These advantages allow the conduct of technologies such as autonomous vehicles, remote surgery, industrial automation and smart infrastructure.

Satellite sharing

There is increasing competition in the satellite communications industry.

The CTO aims to be a pioneer in using the 5G MMWAVE spectrum directly from satellites. According to information, constellation requires 1,500 satellites for global coverage.

The strategy involves creating a shared satellite networkallowing several telecommunications companies to use the same infrastructure.

It offers telecommunications operators a way to compete with new large satellite networks. Instead of building their own massive constellations, operators can use the common satellite infrastructure of the CTO. Telecommunications companies can use their current 5G MMWAVE Spectrum rights with this approach.

This technology allows telecommunications companies to expand their internet service in distant areas by using their existing 5G MMWAVE spectrum on satellites, avoiding the expensive process of building a new ground infrastructure.

It offers a profitable way to provide high -speed internet to underestimated regions.

Six months before their current progress, the CTO has successfully ensured funding of 9.3 million EUR.
