Sodus man arrested for robbery in Ithaca

Ithaca, NY (WBNG) – On February 27, the ITHACA police responded to a business on the 200 South Cayuga Street block for a robbery report.

Officials said that the male perpetrator, later identified as Marcus Beane, 40 years old, from Sodus, threatened the use of an unknown weapon and sent a note to the employee requesting money from the register. The author fled from the scene before the officers arrived.

The officials were suitable with the description of Beane and located it near the eastern end of Ithaca Commons.

Beane was arrested without incident, and the stolen currency was recovered.

Beane was arrested and taken to prison in Tompkins county without bail.
