The arrested deputies wanted man after accidental shooting

Laurel County, Ky. (WKYT) – Sheriff’s deputies from Laurel County found a man sought after an accidental shooting.

Deputies say the shootings happened around 8:00 on Friday morning on North Laurel Road.

They say that the victim told the deputies that he was cleaning a gun as he accidentally shot in his hand.

The deputies say that the victim’s girlfriend and another man, identified as Joseph Malicoat, 43, were present during the incident.

Malicoat fled the stage with the gun and was located by a deputy about a quarter of a mile at a US business 25.

Deputies say it was established that Malicoat is a kind of convicted and wanted to steal a utility vehicle and run from the police earlier this month.

Malicoat has been arrested and is now facing charges of weapons in the top of those previous accusations.
