Men in Upstate treated marijuana, washed hundreds of thousands of dollars

Greenville, SC (Fox Carolina) – Two men from upstate were sentenced to the federal prison for drug trafficking and money laundering.

Rashaad Green, 31, and Shaquille Barber, 30, flew regularly in California and other Western states between 2020 and 2024. They would bring pounds of marijuana back to South Carolina for distribution.

The pair also washed hundreds of thousands of dollars from drug revenues through their banks.

Green, who is from the Union, was sentenced to 180 months in prison, followed by five years of surveillance ordered by the court. It also ordered to give up jewelry, firearms, cash and pay a fine of $ 500,000.

Barber, from Moore, was sentenced to 84 months in prison, followed by five years of court ordered. He was ordered to give up jewelry, including a Rolex Watch, an Audi Q8 in 2019, a firearm, cash and pay a fine of $ 250,000.
